Back in February when Megan turned 8 we told her she could get her ears pierced. She was pretty excited about the idea until the time came and then she decided she wasn't ready. But, yesterday driving in the car she told me she thought she was ready to get them done. Last night we had to go to South Coast Plaza to return a rug (a whole different story for a whole different time). As luck would have it a Claire's was right next to the Pottery Barn (where we were). So I showed Megan that she could get her ears done right then and there. She jumped at the chance and went for it! We all got to watch and she was very brave. So, now she gets to wear these earrings for a long 2 months and clean them 2/day. By Halloween you'll get to see her in a new pair of earrings!

Congratulations Megan (i would add exclamation marks but my ghetto computer's "one" button won't work haha)
Way to go Megan! I got to have mine done after I turned 8 also!
What a cutie pie. How exciting.
I still remember the first time I got my ears done - I was 8. My mom said, "now if you do one you HAVE to do the other." i thought, of course, but when the time came I put up a fight - don't worry I got them both done. They hurt just as bad when i got a second set 8 years later.
I'm so proud of you Megs! I only wish I had been there! You look beautiful! :)
That last anonymous comment was from your Aunt Shelley by the way!
YEAH Meggars!!! I LOVE THEM!!! Lori, great work on the slide show! You little pro you!
Woo Hoo...what a brave girl. That is such a big deal in a young girl's life. 8 is a good age too. I'll try to hold Avery off until then.
Hey Megan, Aunt Wendy here. Who is that other Wendy anyway?! Congrats on the new holes in your head!! They look very pretty. When are we going to see you again? I miss you!
Wendy
